Commercial/Industrial Roofing Contractors

Commercial Roofing, Lubbock, TX Commercial roofing in Texas is evolving and changing. The products and methods for fixing roof leaks and waterproofing systems have moved away from the gravel ballast built up systems of old and towards a more efficient process. Many old fangled and antiquated roof system technologies are still commonly used by roofing contractors and some architects. These commercial roofing systems generally consist of multiple layers of asphalt products, bonded together by bonding agents such as hot liquid asphalt, which presents many hazards to the contractor, as well as the property owner. The downside of these multi-layered roof systems is that they cause the building to retain an excessive amount of heat in the summer because of the design of the system, they offer little insulation to the building, and offer little to no solar reflectivity. Although we can install these roofing systems, we generally choose not to.

Due to the increase in energy costs and the need to reduce waste, combined with the current tax incentives for energy efficient buildings, the commercial roofing industry, including PDS Roofing, is moving toward an energy efficient roofing solution. Engineers and architects are specifying single ply roof systems in their reroof specs and design plans because of the quality of the products, little business interruption and solar reflectivity. Building owners and property managers are beginning to look for the same solutions when making their purchasing decisions. The following is a list of some of the products we install:
  • Duro-Last – Energy Efficient Single Ply System
  • FiberTite - Energy Efficient Single Ply System
  • Versico – Single Ply Systems
    • TPO, EPDM & PVC
  • Elastomeric Spray Coating(s)
    • ER Systems & Lapolla
      • Energy efficient roof restoration (10yr mfg warranty)
  • Spray Foam ( SPF -- Sprayed Polyurethane Foam)
  • Metal Roofing Systems
    • Exposed fastener panels
    • Standing seam panels with hidden clips and floating roofs
    • Foam panel composites that can increase insulation values
    • Retrofit metal roofs by using the fill-in-the-flute techniques to turn a metal roof into a single-ply membrane roof
  • Modified / Built-Up (BUR)

TXMAS

Texas Multiple Aware Schedule The Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS) has established, as an alternative purchasing method, the use of Texas Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) contracts that have been developed from contracts that have been competitively awarded by the federal government or any other governmental entity of any state. As the responsible federal entity, the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Supply Service awards Federal Supply Schedule contracts by competitive procurement procedures for more than 50 schedules that cover multiple commodities and services. The prices reflected on GSA schedule contracts are the most favored customer (MFC) prices and the maximum price allowable. TXMAS contracts take advantage of the MFC pricing and under certain circumstances, an agency or local government entity, may negotiate a lower price for the goods or services offered on a schedule contract. A "best value" purchase can be made by following the TXMAS purchasing procedures.
